This little tapestry was inspired by a tiny loom I found on EBay.
It was originally used for repairing holes in fabric, and the instructions are written in German.
I decided to make the loom part of the weaving because it has a bright red wood base, and wonderful brass fittings on the top and bottom.
I wove an image with two faces, inspired by Rouaullt's human faces. Because I had such a small space, I choose silk thread for both the warp and the weft. Silk is a great fiber for absorbing bright, jewel-toned dye colors.
